Bisher noch nicht. Bis vor kurzem lief aber auf dem Rechner noch Debian mit selbstgebautem Kernel - inklusive SATA-Treiber.Quoted

Sonst fällt mir noch ein, dass event. die SATA Treiber von der LiveCD noch nicht geladen sind (nachsehen mit lsmod). Und dann event. nachladen (modprobe).
O ja! Jetzt geht es! Der LVM ist tatsächlich die Ursache.Quoted
Oder nach ein wenig suchen im Gentoo Forum: boote mal die LiveCD mit gentoo nolvm2.
